In addition to 3 sea trout, 56 juvenile pollack, 13 cod, 5 wrasse (mainly ballan), and a 15-spined stickleback were caught during sweep net sampling at Boor Bay, near Poolewe on 7th August. The pollack ranged in length from 85mm to 163mm; the cod from 90mm to 143mm. All the fish were caught at high tide over a pebble - cobble beach, with sea weeds growing on larger rocks. Sweep net sampling is carried out to monitor sea lice levels on sea trout and is supported by the Scottish Government via the TWG.
