Ian McWhinney and the Ray's bream found in Badachro harbour.

A freshly dead Ray's bream, also known as Atlantic pomfret, Brama brama, was found washed up on the shore of Badachro harbour by Ian McWhinney (of Dry Island Shellfish) on12th March 2009. The fish is usually found in deep water, though during the summer and autumn migrates north and into the North Sea. Most strandings occur during the late autumn and early winter. Photographs of the fish can be found in the high resolution photos section of the downloads page.
